Every student will receive bi-weekly lessons from the School Counseling Curriculum. The ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors for Student Success: K-12 College and Career Readiness Standards for Every Student serves as a guide for providing lessons about academic, social/emotional, and career development.
Lessons are centered around the following:
Small Group Counseling is offered to students who are referred by teachers, parents or administrators. Students will meet with the counselor, as well as 2-3 of their peers with similar concerns, to discuss strategies and/or coping skills. Groups will meet on a weekly basis, during their designated lunch time, for six weeks. Students must have parental consent in order to participate.
Group topics include:
Individual Counseling is available to students via self-referral or that of a parent, teacher or administrator. Referral forms are located in Google Classroom for teachers/administrators. Parent referral forms can be found under the "Forms" tab within this site. Students learn how to self-refer form during the first week of school.
Parent Consultation can be scheduled to discuss any concerns regarding a student's progress. Appointments can be requested by inputting information in the "contact" form located behind the Meet the Counselor tab or by using one of the formats of communication listed below:

- goal-setting and decision making
- career awareness, exploration and planning
- peer relationships and social skills
- communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution
- substance abuse education
- multicultural/diversity awareness
